DREAM WEAVERS

British model Stella Tennant graced the May design issue of The Wall Street Journal Magazine dressed in haute couture from today's top couturiers. At first glance one can see how much hard work goes into each stunning piece, how much talent is involved. Of course not everyone can afford a couture piece so seeing them in this month's WSJ Mag issue is a pure delight!

VALENTINO HAUTE COUTURE

"Requiring five artisans and 1,200 hours of labor, this guipure-embroidered tulle gown was the first piece sold, the morning after the show, to a young Brazilian client." WSJ

ARMANI PRIVÉ

"The embroidery of flat Swarovski crystal paillettes on the bolero jacket and top of the bias-cut satin gown took nearly four weeks to complete, after 250 hours had been spent on the gown's construction." WSJ

ATELIER VERSACE

"Four tailors and one head seamstress collaborated for 150 hours to create this pale lavender lace and satin gown, embroidered with tiny, diamond-shaped Swarovski crystals." WSJ

GIVENCHY HAUTE COUTURE BY RICCARDO TISCI

"Thirty-eight yards of satin and 480 hours went into the creation of this lean, slinky gown, embroidered with pearls and crystals and finished with the punk-tinged touch of metal zips." WSJ

DIOR HAUTE COUTURE

"A fine silk gazar exposes the inner workings of this airy dress. A close look reveals the meticulous hand-stitching visible through the sheer fabric and the horsehair bands in the collar and hem." WSJ

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI HAUTE COUTURE

"The fluid beauty of this poet-sleeve gown lies in its three layers of ivory fabric -- two of mousseline and one of crepe georgette -- totaling 39 yards, and a hidden bustier." WSJ

GAULTIER PARIS

"The deconstructed shantung trench coat and lace-and-organza gown, which the designer gave the fanciful name Lyrics, required 100 hours each for two artisans to create." WSJ

ELIE SAAB HAUTE COUTURE

"The intricate embroidery of sequins, beads and rhinestones on this tulle and crepe georgette gown is the work of eight artisans; the construction itself required three seamstresses, for a total of 250 hours of work." WSJ
