What's On: August '15
We've reached August, the last month of Winter. Here's what's on this month:
Totem by Cirque du Soleil. My brother bought me tickets for Christmas last year and the show was better than I remember when I was a child. The set was remarkable, as were the costumes and make-up. Running until September 27.
Spectrum by Jaime Lee at ENEX100. Showcasing gowns worn by celebrities, this exhibit is the prelude to Lee's runway, 'Lightyears', at TPFF. Following the show on Friday, September 18, her Japanese theme parks inspired collection will be shown at ENEX100 next to her first ever pop-up boutique.
Faulty Towers The Dining Experience. Basil, Sybil and Manuel are in Perth, after touring twenty countries. If you have ever watched the show, you know your night will be hilarious to say the least. Only part of the show is scripted so literally anything could happen! Running from August 8 - 22.
Win a Breville Boss blender thanks to Adelle from Where the Styled Things Are. The competition ends midnight on August 14 so get your entries in quick. See my #WTSTAamazeballs entry down the bottom of this post or on Instagram.
The Australian Ballet is bringing the world premier of David McAllister's The Sleeping Beauty to Perth. While the show is not until October, tickets are out now. There are only five shows in Perth so don't miss the chance to see our national company grace the stage. I have seen a lot of ballet companies from around the world and believe the Australia Ballet's calibre is top notch.
Margaret River Gourmet Escape. Local food, Heston, wine region...what more must I say.
What are you up to this month? I'd love to hear.
