What's On: September 2016

Spring Magnolias

Welcome Spring! It feels like a long time since you've graced us with your lovely warm air kisses.

This month is set out to be a great one, especially with the Spring Racing Carnival kicking off.

Grab your diaries, here's what's on this month:

Spring Racing Carnival

The racing season begins this month with Sofitel Girls' Day Out on September 10th. Check out the other race days here. It's time to get those outfits sorted!

New Season Openings

With the new season brings new restaurant openings.

I'm hanging out to try Ricky & Pinky Chinese restaurant which has just opened within the Builders Arm Hotel on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy.

The North Melbourne Hotel is another new comer on the list. Unlike the rest of the cookie cutter restaurants and cafes, this hotel is a maximalist rather than a minimalist when it comes to interiors. With great weekly specials and decent prices, this is one to check out.

Bombay Sapphire Project Botanicals

This pop-up gin event combines delicious food and creative cocktails for two weeks only at Federation Square's Taxi. Tickets are $49 a head which gets you two cocktails and two dishes curated by head chef, Tony Twitchett. Tickets selling fast, buy yours soon.

LIPTEMBER, KISS AWAY THE BLUES

Join in this Liptember and help raise funds and awareness for woman's mental health during the month of September. Purchase official lipsticks at participating retailers, register online and seek sponsorship from family, friends and co-workers for committing to wear the Liptember Lipstick throughout the month of September.

Funds raised during the month of September are donated to the Centre for Women's Mental Health and Lifeline.
