Sometimes an escape is all you need.
With so much on offer in the Margaret River region, this guide will help you plan a well rounded weekend.
MARGARET RIVER GOURMET ESCAPE (20-22 NOVEMBER 2015)
Margaret River Gourmet Escape should be on the Do Before You Die list. Held in November each year, national and international star chefs take time out of their busy schedules to participate. The variety of events on offer are always excellent.
The Gourmet Village is the best of the best when it comes to food festivals. Set on the picturesque grounds of Leeuwin Estate Winery, there are cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, master classes, intimate Q&A’s and panel discussions as well as hundreds of stalls offering everything from gin and tonic to truffle butter. With an Aperol Spritz in hand, eat delicious bites from top class restaurants and taste wines from the local region and beyond.
Did you go to Gourmet Escape this year? I'd love to hear what you thought.
These cottages are an idyllic hideaway thirty-five minutes south of Margaret River town centre. Self-contained with beautiful rustic details, it is the perfect place to relax with champagne and local cheese. The grounds are photogenic as well. While there Nadine Pougnet from The Essentialist and I took the opportunity to shoot something special for her blog while there. Head over to The Essentialist to see more.
