To launch the NYCB Art Series, the New York City Ballet has teamed up with talented Brooklyn-based artists FAILE to make an original contemporary art work inspired by the Company.

The seemly contrasting elements, classical ballet and retro street art, have been combined to create an eye-catching 40-foot tall tower installation that will be inside the Lincoln Centre. Made entirely out of individual wooden blocks, each side is painted with a different image.

The exhibition of Les Ballets de Faile will be on view during Art Series performances on Friday, February 1, and Wednesday, May 29, when every seat in the house is available for $29.

On these special performance evenings, every audience member will receive a limited-edition work made specifically for the event.

It sounds amazing. If you have the chance to go, I would take it and you will be able to take a bit of art home with you. Awesome!
