Wanderlust | Mekel
Mekel's WANDERLUST exhibition ran as part of Urban Couture 2014. Local fashion illustrator Kelly Coates' work always transports me to a world of fashion, flowing gowns and beautiful girls. Her dreamy use of the black pen and splash of watercolour is perfect. I now own two pieces from Mekel. A framed original of J.Mendel lime green couture gown from this exhibition which was a lovely belated birthday gift from Mr CK and a limited edition print from Mekel's Perth Fashion Festival exhibition last year.
I love supporting local artists and having their work adorn my walls, it's those sorts of things that makes a home a home.
Which is your favourite Wanderlust piece?

This group of present day fashion illustrators, however, have mastered their talent to create some amazing pieces of art.
