It is true that black is hard to get wrong, even cheaper pieces can look expensive in black. But there is something about colour that is pleasing to the eye.

If you are a novice to the colour world, here are a few tips to start incorporating it into your outfits.

1. Colourful accessories.

Add a colourful accessory to your outfit. whether it is a pair of sunglasses, a clutch or vibrant scarf.

2. Choose shoes that pop.

Shoes can really make or break an outfit. Wearing a pair of colourful pumps, sneakers or flats will brighten your day and anyone who sees you!

3. One bold piece.

Wear one brightly coloured piece at a time. Let it make a statement and team it with denim or neutral basics.

4. Complement your colour.

When choosing a colour, pay attention to your skin tone. It is said, the darker your skin tone, the brighter the colour you can wear. Those with fair skin like me, should choose lighter to medium hues.

Hopefully with these tips, you will have the confidence to add a touch of colour to your next outfit!
