Escape to #TheDale

The Dale, a place in Perth I had never been until last weekend and it exceeded all of my expectations.

When I was invited by photographer Jarrad Seng on an 'Instameet', I could not refuse.

The location was Armadale, a 30 minute drive from Perth CBD. Our mission for the day was to explore #TheDale, as it is affectionately known, take some snaps and have fun.

Our first stop was Araluen Botanic Park. Fields of wildflowers, tulips aplenty, waterfalls and white gums, the park is a photographer's dream, especially at this time of year!

Next was Raeburn Orchard, where the fruit trees were just beginning to blossom. For morning tea we ate fresh pears and gelato before setting off for the next location, the heart of the city.

After photographing the wonderful buildings of Armadale, we drove to lunch at The Elizabethan Pub. This quaint pub was gorgeous. Known for the great food, decent portions and lively atmosphere, bookings are highly recommended.

Hidden right next to the pub was the little chapel. It was here the quote of the day came from Nadine, 'I would so get married in Armadale!' and I have to agree with her, it is stunning! Unfortunately I can't change my current wedding plans but I would be open to a second WA wedding if my fiancé approves...

So the day in #TheDale was a success! I loved it so much I have already planned my trip back in a few weeks.

When will you go and explore?
