Aaron McPolin Collective

On Thursday, special media guests and bloggers were invited to "Art Meets Fashion", a night celebrating local artists. Held at Aaron McPolin Collective in Claremont, we were treated to wine, cheese and a live fashion shoot! The shoot was captured by the talented fashion and beauty photographer Aaron McPolin and the incredible outfits were from Leederville boutique Atlas Divine.

Imagine a place where you can purchase tailor-made denim for under $50. Such a place does exist and its name is Dejour.

Situated in the northern end of Brunswick in Melbourne, the denim-only store has become an institution. Crowds flock to Dejour's tiny store to grab a pair, or four, of their own custom-fit denim.

Wanderlust | Mekel

Mekel's WANDERLUST exhibition ran as part of Urban Couture 2014. Local fashion illustrator Kelly Coates' work always transports me to a world of fashion, flowing gowns and beautiful girls. Her dreamy use of the black pen and splash of watercolour is perfect. I now own two pieces from Mekel. A framed original of J.Mendel lime green couture gown from this exhibition which was a lovely belated birthday gift from Mr CK and a limited edition print from Mekel's Perth Fashion Festival exhibition last year.

What's On: April '14

April marks Lei Lady Lei's two year anniversary! I cannot believe all those months ago, I began the blog in my little apartment in the Lower East Side in New York City. Now I am across the other side of the world in the sunniest city I know; Perth. I have loved every single moment of the journey that has got me here and look forward to what is to come!

Leather motorcycle jacket

I have been looking for a leather motorcycle jacket ever since I came across this Anine bing jacket. On my recent trip to Melbourne I found this one at Zara. With a great price point and flattering fit, this non-leather find is exactly what I was looking for.
