In 1897, Queen Victoria, the Monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and Empress of India, celebrated her Diamond Jubilee. For the celebrations, the Regent of Jodhpur, Sir Pratap Singh, travelled to England and took with him the Jodhpur Polo team.
